Hiking route: Historical walk - Gulburet to Øyna

Is cultural landscape, beautiful scenery, old wooden houses, historical surroundings, art and local food cooked with love something you appreciate? Then this is a trip for you

Start the trip with a visit to the farm shop at Gulburet.

Here you can buy warm homemade bread, cookies and sweets to name a few. From Gulburet, follow the road some 100 meters, and turn right through the farm's courtyard. The trail is easy to find and follow, the signs are marked "Kultursti".

The trail passes alternately on road, trails and grass in landscape. The trail passes farms and pastures and it is encouraged to show respect where the trail crosses courtyards and close to the cottages and houses.

The last part of the trips runs through the city of Straumen, sourrounded by old wooden houses along the seaside. Set aside some time to visit "Nils Aas art workshop" before continuing. The trip continues through the Muustrøparken sculpture- and Botanical Park, the residential area and past Sakshaug Old Church. The latter part is steep, but well worth it!

End the trip with a delcious dinner at Øyna - a restauraunt with a panoramic view of the Tronheimfjord.

Road description:
The adress is Sandvollanvegen 393, 7670 Inderøy.

From the north:
Follow E6 from Steinkjer until the road divides into two lanes, keep right onto road 761 and follow this for 10 kilometer until you see a farm with the sign "Gulburet" on your left hand side of the road.

From the south:
Follow E6 to Røra, turn left and continue on road 755 towards and  through Straumen. Turn right onto road 261 just passed Straumen.Continue straight ahead for 14 kilometer until you see a farm with the sign "Gulburet" on your right hand side of the road.
