Siljan
Hiking to Blåfjell

Experience one of the "Ti-topper'n" summits, with views over Skien and Porsgrunn from the top.
Duration: 1 hr (3.1 km)
Difficulty level: Moderate
Season: May–Sept
Experience one of the “Ti-topper’n” summits, with views over Skien and Porsgrunn from the top. It’s also possible to see all the way out towards Langesund and the fjord areas in the south. You can take advantage of the Gapahuken cabins at the summit, which are equipped with both wood and a coffee pot on the stove.
Description of hike
There are several trails to choose between, but we recommend the footpath along the north side of Heivannet lake. From here, the trail climbs steadily, following a cart road towards Høgseter, past the scout cabin. Approx. 200 m before the summer farm, the trail turns west, from the cattle bridge, straight uphill towards Blåfjell. There are several routes to choose between on the way down. For a circular hike, continue via Havretjern and on down the forest road past Høgsetseter.
Access
Take county road 32 from Skien to Siljan as far as Solvika Cafe, where there are several places to park. You can also take the Grenlandsekspressen express bus or local bus P7 to the Solvika stop.
