Overview

Wonderful hiking trails are waiting for you as you arrive to Mt. Hoven with Loen Skylift. All trails with magificent views of the fjord landscape and Jostedalsbreen National Park. Choose between easy short hikes and more challenging full day hikes. The trails are waymarked and signposted by international standards. High quality and sustainability are key factors. 

Mount Skredfjellet - 2 km one way / 155 height meters
Easy hike that is well groomed. Some steep parts, but it is possible to bring a stroller. Towards the end of the hike it is less hilly and with more flat parts. Great view of the fjord in the south, and Stryn Valley and the mountains in the north. The cairns will lead the way. The view and panorama keeps getting better the further you go.

«Gjølrunden» Round Trip - 2,2 km / 120 height meters
Easy hike. Good path with stairs in natural stone. Some steep parts. Get close to the spectacular and dramatic scenery, with a panoramic view of mountains, glaciers and the fjord. Highest point is at 1120 m.a.s.l. Enjoy the 360-degree panorama. Return to Hoven or walk further on the path to Mount Skredfjellet.

Round trip Mount Skredfjellet - 7,9 km / 500 height meters
Medium difficulty level. Varied terrain; gravel, stone steps, mountain path and gravel road. Come a little further into the mountain world - over Mount Skredfjellet (as the trip above), via Nøkketjønn Pond and back to Hoven on the gravel road. Along the path you always have a panorama towards mountains, glaciers and the fjord. You'll pass cairns that leads the way, small rivers and ponds, and nice viewpoints that invites you to a break. Before returning to Hoven, you'll pass Oppheimssetra Mountain Farm.
