Hiking trip to Mount Høgkubben
Likely the most popular hiking trip at the inner parts of Ålesund. You can reach the destination from the ski lift in Spjelkavik, Skåthaugen, Blindheim and Eikenosen.
A nice roundtrip would start at the parking lot at Eikenosen, then into the left path. You then follow the path passing some cabins, until you reach the wood path from Blindheim. Follow this all the way to the top.
From the top there is a marked path north east towards Strokevatnet. Where the path separates, take right to Eikenossætra. Cross Røssvoldvatnet, take right and follow this road passing Ivar Aasen cabin and down to the parking lot.
The fastest route is from Spjelkavik and the ski lift, following the alpine hill slope to the top of Høglia. Marked path to the east / south east towards the top. The same way back down again.
