The trip is perfect for both photographers, the historically interested and anyone who loves the outdoors. Join us on a historical hike in Adventdalen and Longyearbyen to experience the magnificent nature in the area.

Our guide will provide a lecture about the discovery of Svalbard 1596, all the way to our modern times. Here you will learn a lot about the time of the occupation, and the day when the Svalbard Treaty was signed.

Get an insight into the exciting history of Svalbard. There have been battles over the years - both for the "black gold" and other natural resources, that has attracted many fortune seekers through the ages.

It will also be a nice walk / hike outside Longyearbyen. This trip is not very demanding. Enjoy the nature around you and let us take care of all the practicalities.

The trip starts in Longyearbyen, which is a good starting point for you who want to learn more about Svalbard. We then go on to Mine 5 in Adventdalen, and then we are picked up and driven back to Longyearbyen. The duration of the trip is 7 hours, included breaks.
