Hollane Seter is idyllically located in the middle of Lifjell, 9 km from the car park at Jønnbu, and 13 km from Grimsås in Seljord. The place is a popular destination both summer and winter.
Hollane is an old mountain farm located on Lifjell, 859 m.a.s.l. Great hiking destination with marked trails approx. 9 km from Jønnbuparkeringa and 6 km from Grønbygel (Årmotdalen).
There has been a seat business at Hollane since the 17th century, and the tourist business dates back to about 1920.
Hollane Seter offers simple catering, and there are opportunities to rent cabins for overnight stays. They have 30 beds spread over 3 cabins, and are perfectly suited for various groups and events. During the winter holidays (week 8), they are open every day (including weekends), also during the Easter holidays.
During the summer they are open every day in July and somewhat beyond August with accommodation and a cafe for day guests, check their Facebook page for updated opening times.
In summer, you can also meet horses, cows and sheep that graze on the mountain farm.
Hollane seats welcomes guests for short or long stays. It is possible to rent to groups, companies, various events and private individuals.
During winter, it is also possible to be transported by weasel (tracked vehicle) back and forth from Jønnbu. This runs every weekend until Easter, and every day during the winter and Easter holidays if the snow conditions are good enough.
