Hr.Redaktør! is the number one meeting place in Mandal. Located right in the center of Mandal, the restaurant and bar are popular spots for both food and drinks.
During the day, we serve lunch dishes, and in the evening this is the place for a fine three-course dinner.
In the late hours, the bar becomes a lively meeting spot.
The premises of Hr.Redaktør! are inspired by the 1930s newsroom vibe — fitting, since the city's local newspaper is located on the building’s second floor.
The restaurant offers outdoor seating facing Hestetroa (the pedestrian street) and Giert Karis Plass (the river).
On weekends, the bar often features DJs or live music, and every Wednesday in July, the restaurant hosts a free concert at Hestetroa in collaboration with our neighbor SMOI – Mandal’s Secrets.
We also offer catering, and if you're looking to host a celebration that’s a bit out of the ordinary, perhaps a tent venue is just what you need.
We rent out tents for both small and large events. The full-size tent measures 9 x 24 meters but can be rented in as many sections as you like. You can, of course, also rent tables and chairs.
