At Hunderfossen Family Park, just north of Lillehammer, you can meet over 150 trolls ranging from the Hunderfossen giant towering 14 metres above ground to other trolls and fairytale creatures in theatre performances and Ivo Caprino's Fairytale Grotto.

Hunderfossen Family Park has trolls and legends as its theme, and is the country's very own fairytale park. With over 250 000 visitors every summer, it is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Norway. The Hunderfossen giant is the most famous troll in the world – and the most photographed. If you dare enter between its legs, you will discover an Asbjørnsen & Moe fairytale world in Ivo Caprino's grotto. Over 150 trolls are depicted in the illustrations of some of Norway's most famous fairytales.

Innermost in the grotto, you will find Trollsalen Restaurant. Its ceiling is held up by 6 giant trolls, and their story is served together with your meal. The walls are made of enormous boulders, and are decorated with exciting fairytale paintings. It is a restaurant unlike any other!

Hunderfossen Family Park has over 50 attractions for children aged 2 to 15, and most are troll and fairytale themed. When visiting with children, we recommend spending at least one full day in the park.
