Husum Hotell is idyllically located on the banks of the famous Lærdal River, and sport fishing for salmon has a long tradition in Husum.
Husum is a small family hotel in Lærdal, close to Borgund stavechurch and the King's road crossing Filefjell. The hotels history is long, dating back to 1835, when it was operated as both a coaching and a posting inn. As a historic hotel we want to give our guests an experience reflecting the local traditions. Therefore, the hotels eight guest rooms are traditionally decorated, with each its own character. For our guests we also offer a three- course dinner, based on local ingredients. The evenings you can enjoy on one of our patioes watching the sunset, listening to the sounds of the river while letting your thoughts drift – maybe to the life of the farmers and the travelers which have passed through Husum for centuries…
You can find us 20 minutes away from Lærdalsøyri, when following the old road in the direction of Borgund Stave Church. Located in the middle, between Bergen and Oslo, Lærdal has for a long time been a natural hub between the east and the west in southern Norway.
The nearest airport is Sogndal Airport, which is 1 hour and 15 minutes away from Husum hotel.
