Icecave by foot - Poli Arctici

A fascinating, indescribable excursion into a glacier. We hike up to the opening of the cave, this takes about 1.5 hours to reach. The temperature inside the glacier is about -3C. We drive up on the glacier by snowmobile, and enter the glacier through a dry, frozen melt water channel. We will be using powerful headlamps. Entering the channel is like entering another world. This is a labyrinth of ice, with numerous ice formations, where everything is blue and white, and looks as the work of a perfectionist. We guarantee that this trip is far better then ever expected. This trip is not recommended to persons with claustrophobia. You are required to take warm clothes with you, warm hiking boots, windproof jacket and trousers, hat, scarf, gloves/mittens. You must be in good physical shape.
