Eastern Norway Innlandet STANGE

Ilseng paths

  •  /  km From You

Ilsengstiene is an approx. 20 km long marked path featuring many alternative trails. The Ilseng paths pass through forest terrain, open cultural landscapes and along four rivers and bridges. Svartelva winds its way through Ilseng, and three other rivers run into Svartelva at Ilseng: Starelva, Fura and Lageråa. Starelva runs through the wetland area at Starene, which is an important migratory bird district and the inland's most important ringing station. Between 165 and 170 different bird species have been registered at Starene. We highly recommend experiencing the bird life in this district, particularly in the spring.
