This is the tour for you who wants to experience a long dog sledding expedition into the true arctic land, but still sleep comfortably inside.

DAY 1: Your guide will meet you in the reception at your hotel at 10 am. You will get a briefing before packing the personal items and heading towards the Trappers Station in Bolterdalen. Here you will meet all our 90 happy Alaskan Huskies eager to get on the trip. The guide will show you how to harness the dogs and how to mush your own team. Everyone will take care of their own team with guidance from the guide. You will harness, feed and look after your own dogs. After the training, it is time to head out to the wilderness. We will drive over vast valleys and through the white landscape to Sassen valley and Tempelfjorden. We will enjoy expedition lunch on the way. In the afternoon we will arrive to our expedition camp. In heated tent with cots and warm sleeping bags, we will spend the nights in tents they today use at the North Pole camp; “Barneo”. After taking care of the dogs, the chef invites you to the dining tent for a delicious dinner.
Dinner and accommodation in tent.

DAY 2: After breakfast, we will harness our teams and start our second expedition day. While standing on the frozen fjord the dogs are eager to lead us even further into the arctic land. Before the evening falls we will draw closer to the magnificent Nordenskiöld glacier located right next to the Nordenskiöld Lodge. Here at the glacier moraine we will fasten our teams safely for the night. After feeding the dogs, we can prepare our well-earned dinner. Now we can relax, enjoy the dinner and the magnificent view over the glacier.

DAY 3: In the morning when the dogs start to get restless, we head out to the wilderness. If the ice in the fjord is strong enough we will make a daytrip to Pyramiden, the abandoned Russian mining town. Once in the ghost town we will make a tour around and enjoy expedition lunch before returning back to the lodge. After a long day outside we can warm up a sauna and enjoy good dinner.
