Welcome to Kårdal Fjellstove (Mountain Lodge) at Mjølfjell. Kårdal Fjellstove is centrally located along the Bergen Railway and Rallarvegen. The area around Kårdal Fjellstove offers a variety of hiking opportunities throughout the year. The mountain lodge is centrally located within the network of trails in the area and serves as a great supplement to the cabin network of Kaldavasshytta, Vesethytta, and Grindaflethytta.

Welcome to the mountains and Kårdal Fjellstove. We are located at Mjølfjell, a one-hour drive from Voss city center and approximately two hours from Bergen. The mountain lodge was built in 1934, situated at an elevation of 638 meters above sea level, and has been used by schools, outdoor education centers, kindergartens, and hiking enthusiasts for many years.

We also organize tailored events for occasions such as weddings, confirmations, anniversary celebrations, and similar events.

The mountain lodge has 50 beds. There are 12 rooms with 2 to 6 beds and private bathrooms. It is advisable to book rooms in advance, but there is always a bed available in the common room/dormitory.

The facility is generally staffed throughout the year and offers accommodation, meal services, common areas, and a grocery store. Day visitors can also order pizza, but if you prefer a dinner, it must be booked the day before by calling 98 20 52 18.

Kårdal Fjellstove can be reached by car and train throughout the year, and by car, you can drive right up to the door.

Kårdal Fjellstove became a part of the Norwegian Trekking Association network in 2018.

The mountain lodge has all the necessary permits for serving alcohol, accepts card payments, and supports Vipps (a popular Norwegian mobile payment app).

Has 6 beds spread across 2 rooms, with additional sleeping options in the associated living room/common area. A total of 8 beds are available. Bathroom and kitchen facilities. For reservations in this apartment, please contact us before arrival.

Sleeping bags/bedding must be used in the beds in the annex and common room.

Rental of bed linen: 120 NOK per set.
Cleaning: 600 NOK.

Dinner:
3-course dinner: 500 NOK.
