Kennel Visit - Sjusjøen Husky Tours

Come and visit our kennel
Every day from about mid-May to about the end of September it is possible to visit the kennel of Sjusjøen Husky Tours in Åsmarka! Meet us between 11 - 13. Other days and times on request. Our dogs love visitors. You can pet them and greet them all, one by one. The puppies are in dog pens and are let out on the grass to play and cuddle.

You will also be served coffee/cold drinks and an ice cream while we answer questions and tell you how it works at a kennel with 118 dogs.

Please note that our kennel is not located in the same place as our dog sledding area in winter. The address is: Åsmarkvegen 1467, 2365 Åsmarka.

We have a fantastic view and you can also join our nearest neighbor, Åsli Ridesenter, on a trip on an Icelandic horse. We also have a canoe for rent in the lake next to us called Næra. Næra is also very nice for swimming.

Dog sledding summer/autumn with carts
In the summer we can also offer dog sledding on bare ground. We drive with tough troll carts with good brakes. The trip takes place in the evening and all summer until mid-October we drive on Hornsjø in Øyerfjellet.

From mid-October we drive in a forest area in Ringsaker, about 15 minutes towards Moelv from Sjusjøen. In the summer there are weather conditions for dog sledding as we cannot drive if it is too hot. But we like to note bookings in the book, and confirm/confirm at least one day in advance so that no one risks driving a bad trip to the mountains.
