Experience masterpieces from Norwegian art history by Edvard Munch, Harriet Backer, Nikolai Astrup, and J. C. Dahl, and explore exciting new exhibitions.

Kode is one of the Nordic region's largest museums for art, crafts, design, and music. Experience exhibitions and concerts in four art museums in Bergen city center and three composer homes outside the city center.

All open museums, numerous exhibitions, guided tours, and audio guides are included in one admission ticket.

Lysverket:

Visit the major contemporary group exhibition CRAFTED in Lysverket, on display until 16 August 2026. The building also houses the restaurant Lysverket, which has a star in the Michelin guide.

Rasmus Meyers:

The collection of businessman Rasmus Meyer has given its name to a small jewel of a museum from 1924. Over two floors, you wander through the golden age of Norwegian art history, from 1880 to 1905 and onwards to 1920. Here you will also find the world's third-largest collection of Edvard Munch.

Stenersen:

Stenersen is the newest of the four art museums, built in 1978. The museum is named after collector and financier Rolf Stenersen. During the summer 2026, the first major presentation of the internationally acclaimed Norwegian contemporary artist Vibeke Tandberg is on display, featuring photography, sculptures, installations, and videos.

Permanenten:

Permanenten is a monumental building in Neo-Renaissance style, designed by architect Henry Bertram and erected in 1896. The building houses rotating exhibitions of our crafts and design collection. During the summer 2026, the extensive exhibition Frits Thaulow is presented here, featuring landscape paintings from Norway and across Europe.

Concerts summer 2026:

Every Wednesday and Friday from 10 June to 21 August at 16:00 you can enjoy a Debussy concert in the Frits Thaulow exhibition at Permanenten. The concert lasts 30 minutes.

New - All-in-one ticket:

The all-in-one ticket includes a bus to and from Troldhaugen from the city center, a concert at Troldhaugen, and admission to all Kode museums and composer homes.
