Elva Røssåga, which meanders through the village, is today a very good salmon river. In the "old days", when English lords fished there, one could catch salmon up to 25 kg, and still today, the river offers an occasional big catch. Most salmon that are caught today however, is between 5 and 10 kg, while trout usually is between 2 and 10 kg.
The river is ideally suited for Rod / fly fishing.
