Korgen Camping is idyllically situated by the river Røssåga, 37 km south of "the Arctic Circle town" Mo i Rana. The site is secluded from highway E6 and offers a tranquil, family-friendly atmosphere.
Korgen Camping offers five winter-insulated cabins, with one or two bedrooms, available year round.
In June, July and August there are also eight standard beds available. These have four beds each. In the summer months, they offer laundry facilities, showers and toilets.
Korgen Camping has 30 spots for caravans, campers or tents. All have power hook-ups (220V).
Other facilities include a communal kitchen and lounge, outdoor barbecues, a log-house with an open hearth (årestue), and a playground with trampoline. Free Wi-Fi.
Røssvåga river, which is running through the camping, is a very good river for salmon fishing. Many years ago, when the English lords used to go there for fishing, they could catch fish which were 25 kilos, and it is still possible to catch large fish there even today. Most of the salmon that is possible to catch here weight approximately 5 to 10 kilos, while the trout usually weight approximately 2 to 10 kilos. The river is perfect using normal fishing rod and also to try fly fishing.
Korgen Camping has an excellent beginning point for hiking in beautiful nature. The water is full of fish something that offers exciting fishing experiences in the summer and also in the winter. The Okstindan area with Northern Norway's largest mountain on 1916 m.a.s.l. is a popular area for hiking. The hut Rabothytta, that lies beautifully close to the glacier is absolutely worth a visit. The mountan Korgfjellet, that is easy to access on the summer time through the old E6, has several hiking opportunities and also a wonderful view. Korgen camping has easy access to fjord and mountains in a whole variety, from small rivers to areas covered forever in ice.
