Kosmorama Trondheim International Film Festival
Kosmorama Trondheim International Film Festival is central Norway’s largest film festival. The festival is held every year in week 10. During this week, the festival takes over Prinsen Kinosenter in Trondheim with a curated program running from early morning to late at night for seven days.
In addition, Kosmorama organises several other events both in and outside of the festival week, including culinary cinemas, film quizzes, presentations and premieres.
Outdoor CinemasThroughout the year as well as during the festival Kosmorama and partners invite the public to outdoor cinemas at unexpected locations in Trondheim and the surrounding areas. Watching a film in fresh air under the open sky is a unique and wonderful experience. Just make sure to check the weather forecast and dress accordingly!
Culinary CinemaOne of Kosmorama’s specialties is their culinary cinemas. In partnership with some of the best chefs, restaurants and bars of Trondheim they combine films and food into a unique and magical experience! During the week of the festival, their culinary cinemas are also a brilliant opportunity to enjoy a good meal without having to take a break from watching films.
The Monday MovieEvery Monday at 6pm you can see a new, quality film hand picked by Trondheim Kino and Kosmorama. The film is screened in the newly refurbished Prinsen 6, with top quality audio and visual equipment. On the program you can often find exclusive early screenings on upcoming films, and sometimes even films that have previously been shown at Kosmorama.
