With holiday accommodation at Krokstrand, young and old can take the challenge in the “High & Low Climbing Park”, play mini-golf, hike the mountains or go fishing. Hunting in the nearby wilderness is also available. Rent a room or an entire holiday home, and dine on delicious home-cooked meals in the café.
Krokstrand Fjellpark is situated in a scenic spot near highway E6, just south of Saltfjellet and the Arctic Circle and about 60 km north of Mo i Rana.
High & Low Climbing Park
Our climbing park has climbing routes designed for young and old. The routes will challenge your balance and coordination, and push you to step out of your comfort zone. There is also a zip-line! The four climbing routes are colour coded and designed for participants of different heights. To take the easiest route, kids should be at least 80 cm (31.5 inches) tall.
No previous climbing experience is necessary, and you don’t have to be super fit. All participants receive climbing gear and instruction. Bring your kids, grandchildren, friends or colleagues, and enjoy the challenge together!
Tours in the area
Krokstrand, with its proximity to Saltfjellet National Park and the Arctic Circle, is a great base for hiking. You can follow well-marked DNT trails, or ride a mountain bike up Andfjelltoppen or in the valley of Virvassdalen. There are many opportunities for fishing and hunting nearby.
You have the option of staying in a hotel room or booking a holiday home. On the second floor above the café are seven newly renovated rooms, five of which have a private bathroom. Also available are two well-equipped holiday homes, each of which accommodates four to six people.
In addition, the beautifully situated campsite has spots for 30 caravans or campers. There are also plenty of good places to pitch your tent. All guests have access to the service facility, which has a kitchen, showers and toilets.
You can eat some or all of your meals in the café, and get packed lunches for your excursions. The menu features homemade dishes, traditional roadside diner options such as our popular Fjellpark Burger, and homemade cakes. The café is fully licensed.
Krokstrand Fjellpark has a 12-hole minigolf course and a playground with a trampoline. This holiday facility is set well back from highway E6, allowing young and old to relax and enjoy themselves safely. A nice path along the river takes you to the amazing glacial potholes called “giant’s cauldrons” at Silforsen. So, for enjoyable shared holiday, bring your family, friends or colleagues to Krokstad Fjellpark!
