Kulturhuset Ælvespeilet

Kulturhuset Ælvespeilet is Porsgrunn's cultural hall for young and old. Since the start in 2013, Ælvespeilet has brought a large volume of concerts and performances to the city. The program consists of everything from a rich children's program to concerts in all genres and educational lectures.

The children's concept Barnespeilet Kulturhuset
Ælvespeilet's children's concept "Barnespeilet" is supported by the Cultural Council, and aims to be a low-threshold offer of cultural experiences for children. Tickets for these performances cost from NOK 0-50.

Permanent venue for the National Theater
As a permanent venue for the National Theater, you are guaranteed fantastic theater experiences for both children and adults. In 2018, Ælvespeilet won the award as "Organizer of the Year" among the Riksteatret's 73 venues.

Accessible for wheelchair users ​​​​​​
The cultural center Ælvespeilet is well adapted for wheelchair users. Row 12 is reserved for wheelchair users, but you must book a seat in advance.

Kunsthall Grenland
At Ælvespeilet you can also experience fantastic food and art. Kunsthall Grenland is one of the region's foremost exhibition places for art, where they disseminate contemporary art and crafts at a regional / Nordic level. You will find the art gallery at the main entrance to Kulturhuset.

Elvespeilet Mat & Vinbar
On the ground floor you will find Elvespeilet Mat & Vinbar. A popular meeting place for the people of Porsgrunn with a fantastic view of the Porsgrunn river. Here you can enjoy everything from fantastic lunch dishes, tapas and dinner. With a full kitchen, they also handle catering for private and business, as well as food for meetings and conferences.
