Kvite Kyrkjer pilgrims path

Kvite Kyrkjer" pilgrims path is a 90km long pilgrimage from Gransherad in the south of the lake Tinnsjø.
To the Dal church near Rjukan. The pilegrims path connects a total of 6 white churches along the lake Tinnsjø. The Tinnsjø is surrounded by mountains and thus the pilgrimage route between Tinnoset and Mæl leads up again and again to the heights (up to 850 Hm) and down again to the lake (about 191 Hm). You can divide the route into 5 daily stages of 10-24 km.
But if you only want a little tasting of the pilgrimage, we can also recommend a circular hike in Austbygde.
This circular hike is about 11km long and you can start it either in the center of Austbygde or at the Sandviken campsite.
On this hike you can enjoy the beautiful view over the lake and walk on several hundred year old paths through the forrest.
