With Gudbrandsgard as starting point, follow the way-marked bicycle route to Svinslåa. Then you can enjoy a downhill section and pick up some speed on high-quality mountain roads towards the southeast and down to Kvitfjell west. Continue along the mountain farm road towards Veslesætra and Myrsætra, and then across river Svinåa. This is where the uphill climb starts – on gravel roads of high standard. The challenging tractor track straight up to Veslfjellet is recommended. As you reach the top, you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views back towards Kvitfjell and parts of Rondane. After this follows a gentle ride into the mountain and all the way to Skardbua. You have then reached the Skeikampen bicycle network, and have the option to test your skills along some technical routes towards Skeikampen or towards Fagerhøi across Slagsfjella. The route continues up the steep hill to lake Svartvatnet, and then along a narrow, but good, bicycle track offering excellent technical challenges. This part of the World of Peer Gynt is ideal for mountain biking enthusiasts. Excellent surface cover and narrow, winding tracks with the spectacular Rondane as a backdrop. After lake Svartvatnet, leave the main route and continue along a track on the northern side of Båndseterkampen. Follow this track for approx. 1 km, and then continue along the narrow trail turning sharply down towards the valley and Myrsætra. The brave-hearted will find that it is possible to ride the full route, but please approach the steep sections with care. After a few kilometres, you will reach the woodland and a tractor track leading down to Myrsætra. This downhill section down to the west will allow you to pick up some speed. The final section back up to Svinslåa and then back to Gudbrandsgard offers a gentle and relaxing ride – ideal after the technical challenges of Storfjellet.
