Lakavassbu cabin (Værdalsbruket)
Lakavassbu is a rental cabin nestled near Billingstjern in the scenic Lakadalen. It's situated approximately 18 kilometers from Vera, which takes about 4 hours on foot. If you're passionate about fishing, you'll find several pristine fishing lakes in the vicinity, and the cabin serves as an ideal launching point for small game hunting. Numerous hiking destinations are easily accessible from this cabin, including Løysmundhatten in Skjækerfjella and Lakavassklumpen, situated near the border with Sweden.
Cabin Features:
This 57-square-meter cabin provides sleeping arrangements with duvets and pillows for up to 6 people. Additionally, there are two mattresses available in the loft for extra convenience. Please remember to bring personal items such as bed linens, sleeping bags, and toilet paper. Mobile phone coverage is accessible in Hestryggen, located to the north of the cabin.
Boat Included with Cabin Rental:
When you rent the cabin, a boat for use on Bellingtjønnin is provided. In the boathouse, you'll find life vests for 4 adults, while child-sized vests should be brought along.
Directions and Map:
To reach the parking area, follow Fv 757 / 160 to Vera, which is approximately a 1-hour drive from the center of Verdal. The trail to Lakavassbu commences at Storlunet or Vera Samfunnshus, conveniently located along Fv 160. This also serves as one of the entry points to Blåfjella – Skjækerfjella National Park.
