Landsbytråkk cycle route – Hovedrunden
The route starts at the school Torpa Barne– og Ungdomsskole.
Head northwest from the school while following the sign to the mill Grønvold Sag & Mølle.
Pass the sawmill on the left side and cross the bridge.
After the bridge, turn sharply right and follow the road along the river Dokkaelva.
After a short while you will arrive at the river Synna. The route follows the river to its confluence with the river Gjerda. Here you turn left and follow the hill up towards Ohovde.
The hilltop is 937 metres above sea level, and the beautiful landscape is dotted with old summer farms and leisure cabins.
You now cycle along the ridge of the hills Ohovde and Veslehovde in a south-easterly direction, down to Vest-Torpa.
At this point you can choose which direction you want to take. If you want to follow the planned route you head right and cycle downhill to Vest-Torpa, back to the mill Grønvold Sag & Mølle and back to the starting point at the school.
This part of the trail passes through a scenic forest and summer farm landscape, with many natural gems. The small lake and tarns are ideal places to stop for a rest.
