This old family-run lodge is situated at the start of Høvringen’s network of paths and trails, 1000 meters above sea level.
The traditional lodge, next to the gateway to Rondane National Park, has welcomed a number of famous guests in its long history. Our old guestbooks tell us that Sigrund Undset spent several summers here while working on her novel Kristin Lavransdatter.
Then, as now, our guestbooks are testament to the number of regular guests that stay at Laurgårdseter, due not least to the lodge’s informal yet welcoming atmosphere.
The lodge’s 22 rooms and 5 cabins can accommodate up to 60 guests. The rooms have from 1 to 4 beds and most have a shower and WC. The cabins have a shower and WC but no cooking facilities and in that sense simply act as additional sleeping quarters to the lodge.
The food at Laurgårdseter is regarded by many of our guests as the highlight of their stay, with delicious home-made meals and baked goods on the menu. Laurgårdseter is fully licensed.
Welcome to Laurgårdseter Mountain Lodge.
