Levi Henriksen - a writing room
Visit the writing room of Levi Henriksen - Norwegian author, musician and former journalist from Kongsvinger.
Elvis Presley Boulevard
When Levi Henriksen made his breakthrough as a writer, he also became known for the writing room in ‘Elvis Presley Boulevard’, a joking name for a small stretch of road on Granli, on the outskirts of Kongsvinger. The writing room has now been resurrected at Kongsvinger Museum.
‘Elvis Presley Boulevard’ is an exhibition about Levi Henriksen's writing and writing environment, but also an actual writing room. This is where he works when he's not on tour with his writing or the band Babylon Badlands. Levi has drawn a lot of inspiration from his former home Granli when he constructed his fictional village ‘Skogli’, so perhaps something of the literary Skogli will also be resurrected at the museum? In any case, the writing room has been decorated by Levi Henriksen himself in collaboration with Kongsvinger Museum.
The new ‘Elvis Presley Boulevard’ will be an important addition to our work with literary communication in and from the Kongsvinger region, and the museum is very pleased to collaborate with Levi Henriksen.
