Experience the Northern and Arctic Lights from the top of Narvikfjellet. Here the serenity of the mountains, the fjords, and mountains rising from the ocean, are contrasted with the city lights of Narvik.
With Lights at the Lodge you can experience the fascination of the Northern Lights from a viewing platform in the mountains, with the comfort of a cozy lodge, food, beverages and warm drinks.
The cable car takes you in just 7 minutes to 659 m, where you enter the eventful world of the Norwegian Arctic. Your lodge for the evening is just a few footsteps away. Here we serve you light snacks and drinks at our pleasant mountain restaurant with a panoramic view. The restaurant will be open exclusively for you.
The Northern Lights have fascinated people since ancient times, with many myths and stories surrounding them. Your guide will share these myths and stories with you, and you can also learn more during a Northern Lights presentation. If the Northern Lights appear, we will go outside to our viewing platform. Your guide will show you how to capture the lights with your camera (see notes about cameras below). You can warm up in the lodge with hot tea or coffee anytime.

Which cameras are suited for capturing the Northern Lights?
Despite being able to take excellent photos under normal circumstances, cell phones have a limited capability to capture the Northern Lights. We recommend a mirrorless camera or DSLR with a wide-angle lens (15-21mm). Compact cameras can work, as well, within their limitations.
The cable car will only have one departure from this excursion, so it is essential to be at the bottom station exact 20.00. Return from top station will be more flexible.
