Linnekleppen is a popular excursion spot. Fire Watchtower and the highest point in Rakkestad and Marker.

Linnekleppen is the highest point in Rakkestad municipality and Marker municipality. It is located just on the border between the municipalities. It is also the fourth highest point in the county. The rock that the tower stands is 325 meters above sea level and the tower rises 14 feet above this level.

Linnekleppen is not only a forest fire watchtower but a popular destination for people from both home and abroad, not to mention an important cultural monument. We estimate that 2 to 3,000 people visit Linnekleppen in the summer season. You can get here by a blue-marked path from Highway 124.
