Liomseter enjoys a beautiful location in an old cultural landscape, in the heart of Langsua National Park – Gausdal Vestfjell.

Surrounded by spectacular and varied hiking terrain, the lodge offers everything from open high-mountain landscapes to tranquil pine forests and birch-clad hills. The area is renowned for its excellent fishing spots, and has some of Eastern Norway's best trout lakes. Other activities include paddling and cycling as well as unique opportunities for peaceful walks in gentle mountain terrain. Go off the beaten track, and you will have vast expanses all to yourself – and perhaps meet an elk, a wolverine, or a hen harrier along the way. You may even spot the rare bearded bellflower.

Liomseter has horses, rabbits, hens, and a dog. We offer horseback riding, but please call us to book in advance. There are walks in all directions, which makes Liomseter ideal for a stay over several days. It is a natural starting point for trips in Langsua, and also for longer hikes towards Jotunheimen. The Jotunheimstien trail is right on our doorstep. From Liomseter, you have easy access to the extensive network of self-catering cabins in direction Sikkilsdalen and Jotunheimen. In addition, Gausdal Fjellstyre has a number of cabins for rent in the area, and at very reasonable prices.

Liomseter can sleep a total of 48 people, and offers rooms with 2, 3, 4, and 6 beds. The rooms are on the first floor of the main building, and in an annex in the yard. There is electricity at the lodge, supplied by a generator. Shower and washing facilities are available in the basement of the main building. Liomseter has outdoor toilet facilities, but quite pleasant ones. The lodge is heated using a hydronic system. In addition, there are two cosy fireplaces – one in the living room, and one by the reception

. We will do our utmost to ensure that YOUR stay is an enjoyable and memorable one!
