The hotel restaurant features fresh seafood and dishes prepared with quality ingredients from local producers. The menu is inspired by Nordic cuisine, as well as traditional recipes passed down through generations of islanders.

Guests can choose to stay in modern rooms with huge windows that offer an especially impressive view, in more traditional rooms, or in fishermen’s cabins (rorbu). In other words, the hotel offers something for everyone, whether it’s a romantic stay with your partner or an adventure-filled holiday for your entire family. Whichever accommodation option you choose, housekeeping and a hearty breakfast are included.
NB! The hotel is currently undergoing a major renovation, which is expected to be completed in April 2022. During this period, the hotel’s capacity will be somewhat reduced.
Lovund is the perfect place to come for tranquillity, stunning scenery, and to get to know the locals. The island has a good network of hiking trails and excellent picnic areas with barbecues. For a bird’s eye view, follow the marked trail that ascends Lovundfjellet (625 m). During the spring and summer, thousands of puffin nest on the mountainsides. Consider bringing binoculars, and perhaps a camera with a good zoom lens, to “get closer” to Lovund’s amazing birdlife.
