Møysalen is the highest mountain in Vesterålen and Lofoten which also was rated Norway's Most Splendid Natural experience in 2009.
This is a tour for those who are physically fit and used to walking in the mountains. The trip takes about 10 hours including the boat ride of about 30 min each way to the starting point of the trip.
Magnificent natural surroundings greet you, from green valleys to rocky inclines and snow-covered glaciers. This trip is somewhat challenging and should be done with a guide.
The view on a clear day is fantastic! The tour starts at Hennes in Hadsel municipality. You start your trip at 0 masl and ends at 1262 masl.
You do not need any extra equipment when you go on Møysaltur with guide. You should still have good hiking boots / shoes that you are used to. Outdoor clothing that can withstand rain and wind. Hat and mittens.
Food and drink for an entire day. There are ample opportunities to refill water during the trip.

To get to Hennes take RV 822 also known as the Møysalen road. Approximately 45 min. driving from Sortland.
There are opportunities to rent rooms and seahouses, or use the campsite for tent and caravan.
