Recommended advice

When the water flow is high, the stream up in Murabotnen can be difficult to cross. There is an incline above the stream. An alternative for returning the same way may be the path from Malmangernuten directly down to Rosendal. See the Malmangernuten route, from Rosendal.

Overview, and "Skeisfjell".

From the parking lot at Fossberg, it is 2 km along the gravel road (toll road) to the bottom of the valley. The path goes up the Murabotnen and to the left at the fork; to the right is the path to Skeisfjell. From here along the mountain ridge between Guddalsdalen and Hattebergsdalen to Malmangernuten. There is a view of waterways and majestic mountain areas, towns, fjords and ocean.
