Overview

Manndalen Sjøbuer offers seaside accommodation in the beautiful village of Manndalen by the Lyngenfjord. We have eight seaside cottages sleeping four people. We also rent out boats to our guests.

Manndalen Sjøbuer lies by the fjord in Kåfjorden, a sidearm to the Lyngenfjord. The eight seaside cottages are nicely furnished, have a nice view of the fjord and almost all have their own sauna. Each seaside cottage sleeps four guests.

Manndalen is a special valley as the Sami, Kven and Norwegian cultures live side by side. The Centre for Northern Peoples, which is only a few kilometres up in the valley, features a museum, library and café. Furthermore, the indigenous festival Riddu Riddu takes place here in each July.

The eight seaside cottages (35 sqm) have a great view of what is happening in the harbour. Each cottage has a living room, kitchen, bathroom and a bedroom (sleeping two) on the ground floor as well as a loft with two beds. Most have private sauna. All feature TV and free Wi-Fi.

A large outdoor terrace and barbecue are available.

During the summertime, Manndalen Sjøbuer is popular among fishing tourists, as you can rent a boat during your stay and there are communal fish cleaning facilities. Manndalen also offers nice hiking trails in the surrounding area.

During the winter, there are good opportunities for skiing and snowshoeing in the area, as well as a place to enjoy the Northern Lights. The snowmobile trail and floodlit cross-country ski trail both start close by.

From Tromsø, it is approx. 150 km to Manndalen. Skibotn (to the south) and Olderdalen (to the north) are both 33 km away. Approx. 1 km away you will find two supermarkets, a petrol station and “Grenebua”, a centre where local handcrafts are produced, presented and sold.
