At Byafossen in Steinkjer, you’ll find the gallery and workshop of Marie Gaski, a passionate ceramicist and craft artist with a deep love for her profession. Marie creates functional art that blends form and purpose, expressed through a warm and personal aesthetic.

Together with furniture maker Torstein Dahl Johansen, she is part of the creative collective Verkstedhagen, which regularly hosts Levende Verksted (living workshop). During these events, the workshop comes alive with activities, a pop-up café, and exhibitions showcasing both their own work and that of other makers.

Here, you can experience craftsmanship up close, enjoy a friendly chat with the artists, and take a wander through the garden – a delightful stop for anyone who wants to explore local creativity and genuine artisan spirit.
