A new cabin area is in the works. Minimäki is a very special area by Lake Steinreien in Finnskogen, with space for 30 mini houses. You own your mini house and rent the plot. Each plot has electricity, water and sewage connections that you can hook up to. The plan is to build modern, economical and energy-efficient cabins. Minimäki is a community with, among other things, a communal building that will contain equipment and aids to help you make the most of Finnskogen.
Minimäki means ‘little hill’. “Mini” comes from mini house. ‘Mäki’ is Finnish and means hill. This word is found in many place names in Finnskogen, including the Finnish farm where Maja and Sondre grew up, ‘Lethomäki’. Minimäki is located on sloping terrain down towards Lake Steinreien. The area covers fifty acres and has 180 metres of shoreline. Steinreien is located in Lundersæter, 1 hour and 45 minutes from Oslo. Minimäki is intended as a cabin area where you can enjoy the enormous resources we have in Finnskogen – in the middle of nature. Contact us for more information.
