FabLab cabins are built in viking style and offers a place to stay at Ørnes, just 10 km south of Lyngseidet on the Lyngen peninsula. Each cabin has room for 6 persons and come fully equiped.
MIT Fablab was originally built as a place where scientists could gather and work together. The main house offers a great common room that was used for work and as a meetingpoint.
In a semicircle around the mainhouse, which is built in wikingstyle, 4 cabins have been built in the same style.
Each cabin have 6 beds, one double room and 4 beds upstairs. The groundfloor consists of a combined commonroom and kitchen, which has all the utilities you need included a dishwasher. TV and WiFi is also in the cabin.
Guests at MIT Fablab can borrow bikes for free.
FabLab is located at 10 km south of Lyngseidet, at Ørnes. In Lyngseidet, which is the closest village you will find a supermarket, a sportshop, a bank, petrolstation and a touristinformation. From here the ferry across the Lyngenfjord to Olderdalen leaves and on the ferrypier you will find the busstopp for busses to Tromsø or north towards Storslett/Alta.
