Mjøsas Ark – exhibition in Kapp Melkefabrikk

Mjøsas Ark in Kapp – Learn about the history of Mjøsa and life on Norway's greatest lake. Fishing, log driving and boating history go hand-in-hand with the story of the people who lived and worked on lake Mjøsa.

Mjøsas ark – Mjøsa’s own museum
At the Mjøsas Ark museum, you can explore 8000-year-old rock art and learn about Viking travels, contraband smuggling, boating history, and important environmental issues. The museum also tells the history of Kapp Melkefabrikk – about Olav Johan Sopp’s research, the industrial adventure “Viking Melk”, and the working class at Kapp. In addition, there  are temporary exhibitions featuring unique artefacts from Mjøsmuseet’s collections. Entrance by the fjord.
