At the top of Mosekleivhornet you get a fantastic view of Hoddevik!
There are two routes to Mosekleivhornet, one trail is short and steep, while the other is longer but easier:
Dragseidet - Mosekleivhornet. It is 16.5 km round trip and 996 altitude meters
Park in the parking lot at the Viking village on Dragseidet between Stadlandet and Drage. Here Christian King Olav Trygvason 4 counties (Sygna, Firda, Sunnmøre and Raumsdal county) in the year 997! There is also space for the start of the mountain race Stadlandet Rett Vest (13.2 km) which takes place in May every quarter of a year. Follow the signs and red pins to the top. The trail runs in heather and some short stretches of bog. The path goes smoothly and nicely up towards Vardeberget. Up on Vardeberget you have a nice view but not a 360 degree round view. Then all you have to do is continue the trip on to Grøtrøysa, which is about as far as from Dragseidet to Vardeberget. Follow the marking Stadlandet Rett Vest trail. You have to cross Langedalsnibba and Solumskard before Hoddeviksfjellet and the last gentle climb towards Mosekleivhornet. There is a 200 meter detour to the left from the Rett Vest trail to Mosekleivhornet with a great view to Hoddevik at the top.
If you want a shorter trip than the trip back to Dragseidet 16.5 km, you can continue Stadlandet Rett Vest trail to Stad Grendahus in Ervik (Refsnes (total 13.2 km, approx. 3 hours and 600 altitude meters). Hugs car / bike in Ervik (Stad grendahus) for return to Dragseidet.
City Grendahus in Ervik - Mosekleivhornet. It is 8.4 km round trip and 488 altitude meters
Can of course take the trip from Stad Grendahus in Ervik (Refsnes). Then it is 8.4 km and you just have to follow the markings from Grendahuset. The trail goes around Grendahuset and through the gate at the back, also turn left after the gate. Slightly steep cliffs first also a bit soft terrain before it is dry and nice climb all the way to Mosekleivhornet.
