Moslifjellet (718 m.o.s.l.) in Ryfylke has the same starting point as Preikestolen, but is higher and has a great view over the Lysefjord, most of outer Ryfylke, the archipelago and towards Stavanger. Why not hiking the both?
Follow the Preikestolen path up to the first plateau. You'll come across a sign for Moslifjellet. The path follows a moraine ridge after the Lysefjord glacier. The top of the mountain is barren and rocky. The path down leads across a mountain ridge with a view inward of the Lysefjord.
Back at the parking, we suggest a swim in the Refsvatn lake, just below Preikestolhytta. There is a nice sandy beach. And why not treat yourself on something warm at the Preikestolen mountain lodge afterward?!
