Join our polar heroes Barents, Nansen and Nobile on a full day dogsledding trip in Svalbard beautiful and exciting nature

All our dogs are named after the polar heroes of the Arctic and Antarctic. Regardless of the weather, good or bad, starry sky, full moon, or northern lights, this will be unique tour. We pick you up at the hotel of your preference in Longyearbyen.
After getting dressed we will give you information about the dog sledding tour, about the route, and you will learn the theory of driving dogs, as the next step will be learning by doing.

You will be two or three people per sled. There will be stops on the way to switch drivers so that the persons sitting will get a chance to drive as well.

The dogs will be your engine the next couple of hours and they will bring you on an adventure you maybe never have experience earlier. The nature on Svalbard is stunning and the landscape is covered by a white layer of snow.

We recommend you to bring a small backpack with your personal things.

Lunch and warm drink will be served on the way or back at our wilderness centre, depending on the weather conditions that day.

- Everyone that needs can borrow a warm suit, shoes, winter hat and/or gloves.
- Warm drinks and lunch. If you have allergies please notify us when booking.
- Transport to/from your hotel of preference in Longyearbyen.

Cancellation fees for activities

If cancelled 22 days or more prior to departure 100 % refund.
If cancelled 22-7 days prior to departure 50 % refund.
Cancellation less than 7 days prior to departure is a ”no show” and does not qualify for any refund.
You may apply to your insurance company for a refund if you provide a medical certificate.

If Svalbard Villmarkssenter decides to cancel a trip due to weather conditions or any other reasons, you will receive a full refund!
