Must-see Bergen: Guided tour on foot and by boat

This 2-in-1 tour is designed to offer you the total Bergen experience. Take a stroll through the alleys of the old timber town, listen to the incredible stories about the place and the people to make sense of the smorgasbord of centuries. To top it all, get into the arena where the city shaped itself: the fjord. The best way to understand this waterworld is to take a boat ride with the locals.

You will visit iconic sites such as the Hanseatic quarters and lesser-known spots as we explain the paradoxes of Bergen. This city's transition from a medieval port town to a proud Nordic city is nothing short of a thriller! Bergen is much more than the Unesco World Heritage Site. Explore the oldest streets, the earliest buildings, and the shady past you can no longer witness. Don't you worry. We have enough tales about the colourful people of this city to bring it all alive. After all, there is a reason why we say 'We are not from Norway. We are from Bergen'!

About the boat trip:
The boat we will take is a local route from Strandkaien near the Fish Market to Kleppestø pier on Askøy. The journey takes 15 minutes each way. We will not disembark on Askøy, but we'll return to Bergen with the same boat. The ticket for the boat is included in the price. Enjoy views of Bryggen as well as Bergen harbor from the seaside with Mount Fløyen and Mount Ulriken as a beautiful backdrop. 

Guide:
This is a guided tour and the guide will accompany the group on the whole tour, including on the boat. The guide speaks English.

Meeting point:
We meet outside the Tourist Information at the Fish Market in Bergen. The tour ends at the same place.

We reserve the right to cancel a booking for reasons out of our/our suppliers’ control. In this event, we will contact you and may offer alternative arrangements, subject to availability. For cancellations made by us, your booking will be refunded 100%.

If you wish to cancel your booking, please contact us at mail@norwayfarers.no as soon as possible. You will get a full refund if you cancel more than 24 hours ahead of the departure time. If you cancel less than 24 hours ahead of the departure time, or if you don't show up at the designated meeting point at the designated time, there will be no refund.
