Do you want to challenge body and soul at the same time as you experience intense nature? Try Explore's nature trail & rappelling in Geiranger. We guarantee an exciting day!

Explore has developed an exciting Nature & Rappelling trail in the center of Geiranger. The tour starts at Explore's guide office, a short walk from Hotel Union Geiranger. There, a guide will hand out equipment and give an introduction to the use of safety devices. Large parts of the nature trail are secured with 11 mm industrial rope which the customer is connected to with a Jumar rope clamp with handles that makes it easier to force steep terrain at the same time as it will stop a fall. The trip concept is to give the customer a unique hike up to Flydalsjuvet viewpoint and a vertical return using rappelling. Those who want it also get the opportunity to pose on the spectacular cliff edge over Flydalsjuvet. The guide will take a photo. After the photo shoot, the group turns and walks a couple of hundred meters down to the mountain walls with a view of the Geirangerfjord. The first rappel provides a simple introduction to equipment and technique. The next two are vertical 50m rappels with stunning views. Well down there is a short walk back to the guide office. The trip takes about 2.5 hours to complete. This trip is for normally active people without fear of heights.
