Nevlunghavn Gjestgiveri – Courses & Conferences

Host your next strategy session, leadership retreat or small conference at Nevlunghavn Gjestgiveri – a historic seaside “badehotell” in the charming fishing village of Nevlunghavn on the Skagerrak coast.

A Calm Coastal Venue for Focused Meetings

Since 1920, Nevlunghavn Gjestgiveri has welcomed guests looking for calm, fresh sea air and time to focus. Today, it’s a cosy, intimate venue ideal for smaller groups who value atmosphere and personal service.

The hotel has 15 beautifully decorated double rooms, all with a warm, classic feel. Slip into the soft bathrobe waiting in your room, bring your morning coffee for a short stroll down to the sea, and start the day with a refreshing dip before your meeting. It’s the kind of start that clears the head before the work begins.

Between sessions, participants can relax in the hotel’s historic lounges – in a wicker chair by the fireplace, with a slice of cake or a drink in hand – and let new ideas surface after inspiring discussions in the meeting room. Here, sea views and salty air are part of the agenda: strategic thinking really does feel clearer when you can look straight out towards the horizon.

Discover Coastal Experiences Just Steps From Your Meeting Room

To break up the meeting day, the hotel can help you arrange:

Boat trips or pulling your own lobster pots and crab traps

Cycling tours in the surrounding area

A walk to Omrestranda for a sauna session and a dip in the sea

A visit to Nerdrum Museum or the local vineyard Holtens

A guided historical talk about the hotel and Nevlunghavn’s rich seaside heritage

You can also simply wander through idyllic Nevlunghavn, with its narrow lanes and well-kept wooden houses – a slow, authentic Norwegian coastal village experience.

Tailored Dining with True Coastal Ingredients

With the Skagerrak on the doorstep, the kitchen works with fresh, local ingredients delivered daily. At Nevlunghavn Brygge, the hotel’s own fish reception supplies prawns, langoustine, fish and lobster, and the rustic Bredalsbua on the quay can also be used as part of your event setting.

If your group has special wishes for menus or dining formats, the chef and team do their utmost to tailor the experience – from casual seafood evenings on the pier to more formal multi-course dinners.

Personal, Flexible and Truly Local

At Nevlunghavn Gjestgiveri, you don’t just book a meeting room – you get a small, dedicated team that follows your group from planning to departure. They are used to adapting to different group needs and cultures, and almost nothing is impossible:
