The museum reopens with the exhibition MATER: A Mother’s Heart, part of the Hannah Ryggen Triennale 2025. This group exhibition, on view until September 14, 2025, explores themes of motherhood, caregiving, and the transmission of traditions across generations, with Hannah Ryggen’s tapestry A Mother’s Heart (1947) as its central piece.
The museum emphasizes high-quality temporary exhibitions and offers an active and diverse program of events. An overview of current events hosted by the museum can be found here.
