Reopening of the Nordenfjeldske Museum of Decorative Arts and Design! As of April 5, 2025, the museum building at Munkegata 3–7 has partially reopened after four years
The museum reopens with the exhibition MATER: A Mother’s Heart, part of the Hannah Ryggen Triennale 2025. This group exhibition, on view until September 14, 2025, explores themes of motherhood, caregiving, and the transmission of traditions across generations, with Hannah Ryggen’s tapestry A Mother’s Heart (1947) as its central piece.
