Drive your own snowmobile, search for the Northern Light, experience this mysterious magic nature phenomen in the total darkness of the arctic. Starting and ending the safari at Mehamn fishing village.
Intinerary:
We meet at the Adventure Camp Mehamn. www.nordicsafari.no
Here we get dressed up in warm comfortable snowmobile clothing.
17:30 Transfer by car to the starting point in the middle of the Nordkyn Peninsula
Proffesional snowmobile guides will learn you all about driving and safety for driving snowmobile.
Get ready to start.
18:15 We are driving into the wild arctic nature, crossing wide mountain planes
We will make several stops, turn off the engines to hunt for the Nordic light (Aurora Borealis)
We are now at the northernmost point of The European continent – here we have the best chance to see the Nordic Light flaming over the arctic sky.
When we stop the snowmobiles, total silence and darkness will give the best conditions to observe the Nordic light – Aurora Borealis
Our professional guides will tell you about this mysterious nature phenomen.
We drive down the valley to Mehamn fishing village, driving through the village to our snowmobile base, where we end this northernmost northern light safari on the European mainland.
We change clothes and stay overnight in our cosy rorbus / fishermens cottages at Adventure camp Mehamn.
