Northern lights chase by bus

This tour is conducted by Norwegian Travel/Destination Tromsø. Our mission is to take you on a thrilling ride searching the celestial canvas above. We will be heading to the prime spots with the highest odds of catching the mesmerising auroras.
Once we have found the perfect spot, where the stage is set for nature's grand performance, we will give you steaming hot drinks and biscuits to help you keep warm. Our dedicated guides will be your Arctic companions throughout the evening, ensuring you a comfortable experience.

For extra comfort, you can rent thermal suits and boots at the meeting point of the tour. Since Tromsø's weather likes to keep us guessing, we might just turn this adventure into a dance with the elements, taking you to various awe-inspiring locations under the Arctic night sky in search of our lady in the sky.
If we are blessed by the Northern Lights gracing us with their presence, your photography guide will capture those magical moments with some stunning portrait photos. Consider it your cosmic photo op, capturing memories that will last a lifetime. If you are looking to take northern lights picture yourself, your guide will be happy to help and share tips and tricks with you.
So, get ready to chase the auroras like never before, with us by your side every step of the way.

Good to know:

The time of return to Tromsø depends on the course of the tour: the distance of the chase, weather conditions and the northern lights displays.

We cannot guarantee seeing the northern lights, as they are a natural phenomenon. Still, we promise to use all our experience to maximize our chances of a successful chase.

There is no refund if the northern lights do not appear. However, you can book a second tour at 50% discount at our sales shop in Tromsø.

This tour does not include dinner (full meal).

Thermal suits, boots and tripods can be rented at the meeting point (subject to availability).

Restrictions:

Pets are not allowed on this tour.

Alcohol consumption is not allowed on the tour.

We reserve the right to refuse access to intoxicated guests.

Meeting time and place: 05:45pm (17:45), 06:15pm (18:15) and 06:45pm (18:45) at Tromsø Havn Prostneset , Samuel Arnesens Gate 5, inside main entrance
Departure time: 06pm (18:00), 06:30pm (18:30) and 07pm (19:00)
