Northern Lights Chase

This tour is organized by We Travel North.

We use a 46-seat coach with an English-speaking guide onboard. Every evening, we choose the best area to experience the lights, based on more than 20 years of experience and analysis of local weather forecasts. The Tromsø region has significant variations in weather across different areas. Our extensive experience helps us make the best choice each night!

During the evening, we will stop at a private parking area, where we have access to private toilet facilities and a warm house or tent. Here, we will serve a warm meal and hot drinks.

If it is cloudy, we will finish our meal and continue to search for another spot with clear skies along the roads.

While there is no guarantee of seeing the northern lights, we always do our best to give you the chance to experience this natural wonder. On the journey, you will also learn more about the northern lights. We will share local stories and point out constellations in the Arctic sky.

Our guides can take portrait photos for guests who wish to have them. These photos can be purchased and downloaded from our website.

We are committed to developing sustainable tourism. We support local landowners, work with a local food supplier, and ensure that every minibus or coach is operated by a local professional driver.

Included: Knowledgeable English-speaking guide, transport by a local bus company, hot meal (potato soup with bread), hot chocolate, coffee, tea, and a sweet local cake (lefse), private toilet facilities, and photos from the tour available for purchase on our website

What to bring: Warm clothes, boots, hat, socks, mittens, and scarf

Departure time and place: At 6:30 PM (18:30) from the bus terminal at Tromsø Havn, Prostneset (street address: Samuel Arnesens gate 1). The bus will be marked "We Travel North"
