No northern lights tours are alike. Before each tour our experienced guides assess the latest northern lights forecasts, weather reports, cloud cover and the local conditions to decide where tonight's tour should go. Instead of following the same route every night we adapt the tour to find the clearest sky areas and give you the best possible chance to experience the northern lights. Even though no one can guarantee a northern lights, we always do our utmost to give you the best possible chance to experience this fantastic natural phenomenon.

Your comfort is just as important to us as the northern lights hunt itself. We pick you up and bring you back to your accommodation in Alta, lend out warm winter suits, winter boots, hats and mittens, and serve hot drinks, cake, snacks and hot soup during the evening. When conditions allow it, we also gather around a bonfire to enjoy the calm Arctic surroundings while we wait for the northern lights to show itself.

Our knowledgeable, local guides tell about the science, the history and the myths behind the northern lights, so that the tour becomes both educational and memorable. The guides are also experienced photographers who take professional portrait photos of you under the northern lights when the conditions are right for it. The best photos are included and sent to you after the tour. If you wish to photograph the northern lights with your own camera, we gladly help you with camera settings and good tips, so that you get the most out of the experience.

Each northern lights hunt is unique. Some evenings the northern lights show itself early, while other times we must drive a little further or wait a little extra. The tours usually last 4–5 hours, but our goal is always to give you the best possible northern lights experience by adapting to the conditions along the way.
