Join us out on the fjord from Narvik and experience the darkness, silence and Arctic light from the boat Ofotr. When the conditions are right, the Northern Lights can dance over the mountains and be reflected in the fjord.

This boat trip takes you from Narvik and towards the Beisfjord, where light pollution is minimal and the fjord landscape opens up in the dark.

On board the boat, you get a quiet encounter with fjords, mountains and Arctic winter light, with the opportunity to see the Northern Lights when nature shows its best side.

The Northern Lights are the main experience, but the trip is also about the silence, darkness and mountains around the fjord. Under a clear sky, the stars, the fjord and the mountain peaks can create a strong setting for the experience.

The Northern Lights can never be guaranteed. If the conditions are not right for the Northern Lights or clear starry skies, an alternative wreck tour is always carried out. Then the trip goes out to sea and below the surface, with a different, but still atmospheric and exciting experience on the water.

Guests can stay inside the boat while it is running and go out on deck when the boat stops. This way you can choose between the comfort inside and the fresh winter air outside when the conditions are right to look for the Northern Lights.

How to get there

From Narvik Tourist Information: Walk south down Kongens gate (E6). Follow the road straight ahead until you reach the Seamen's Church, turn right and follow the road down to Narvik harbour.
